Why separate accident cover
Accident insurance for students pays not only the cost of recovery, rescue and search but also benefits in the event of death and of permanent disability. In sport in particular the accident often happens a long way from the nearest road, in the water, on the mountain or on the piste. That is exactly where the high costs arise that ordinary health insurance does not carry.
Cover applies during all lessons and courses offered by the insured sports school or the insured club and attended by the insured people.
What is insured
Insured are all accidents connected with the lesson or the course, in particular while:
- Using windsurfing, kitesurfing or snowkiting equipment, a surfboard, a sailing or motor boat or any other watersport equipment, including while diving
- Using winter sports equipment such as skis or a snowboard, and snow vehicles
- Taking part in other sports, for example swimming or tennis, with the exception of extreme sports
- Using a bicycle, e-bike, pedelec or Segway
Cover applies on the water, in the snow and on the beach, and equally while carrying the equipment by the direct route from the vehicle or trailer to the place of activity or event and back.
Simple to administer
This is group cover without naming individuals. That means you do not have to keep participant lists or register anyone in advance, which makes the cover practicable for courses with changing groups as well. Alongside course participants, school management, instructors and trainers can be covered.
