Every area of activity in one contract
A watersport school is seldom only a school. Hire, tours, a shop and food usually come with it, and often beds as well. Every one of those areas raises liability questions of its own. In our concept you therefore assemble the contract from modules:
- Instruction and course operations
- Hire of boats and equipment
- Tours and sailing trips
- Acting as a tour operator
- Retail and shop
- Catering with food and drink
- Accommodation in a guest house, campsite, guesthouse, hotel or rooms
Extensions you rarely find elsewhere
These are the points that set our concept apart from ordinary commercial liability cover:
- Personal instructor's liability, including for all self employed staff
- Personal liability of the students
- Boat liability for commercial use and for chartering out
- Liability for events and excursions, including the coach travel risk
- Cover throughout Europe, worldwide for sailing trips, outside Europe by arrangement
- Additional risks such as towing on the water (waterskiing, banana boat, tube), bike hire, parasailing or a workshop and yard working for third parties
- Environmental damage insurance including the groundwater module
- An international cover concept for schools outside the EU
Your instructors are covered
Instructors and teachers working for a school insured with us need no professional liability policy of their own for that work. The personal liability of all self employed staff sits inside the school's liability cover as soon as the school has registered them with us. Anyone who also teaches for other businesses or on their own account will find the right cover under professional liability for instructors.
